Overview
Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology (GIKI) announced on their official website that an online admissions test will be held on May 1st. Candidates from all around the world, according to insiders, can take the admissions test from the comfort of their own homes. Following the cancellation of SAT II, the decision was reached (Subject Test). Although the college board has cancelled the SAT II (subject test), GIK will recognise candidates' scores from the previous two years.
To attract bright students who cannot afford to meet educational expenditures, GIK has decreased their application processing fee from Rs. 5,500 to Rs. 1,000 and boosted the number of scholarships available.
A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the DWP Group (Foundation) and GIK to provide 15 new full scholarships to GIK undergraduate students. According to the agreement, the DWP Foundation will fund half of the costs, while GIK will cover the other half.
Similarly, BARD Foundation and GIK signed an MoU to establish the Descon Endowment Fund, which would grant full scholarships to GIK undergraduate students worth over Rs. 100 million.
GIK is a fully residential campus with a reputation for providing high-quality education. In the Times Higher Education 2022 impact rankings, GIK is placed first in the United States and 37th worldwide.
