The court warned the provincial government that if the order had not been enforced, action would be taken against the Chief Secretary and the Secretary of Colleges for contempt of court.
The Secretary of Colleges told the court that the provincial government is formulating a strategy for the lecturers' promotion and time scales.
"Give us fifteen days to complete the paperwork for lecturers of Grades 17 and 18," he said.
Justice Amjad Ali Sahito reported that considering the unsatisfactory standard of education being offered, the lecturers ask for promotions.
