The schools, namely the School of Business Studies, the School of Economics & Social Sciences, and the School of Computer Science & Mathematics, will be replaced in the current academic system by the Faculty of Business Administration and the Faculty of Computer Science.
The BoG also excluded the prospect of continuing the Associate Deans' services of the two existing IBA faculties or of reappointing them.

Dr. Akbar Zaidi, Executive Director of the IBA, suggested that new deans be named for the first year through internal advertising, and later through foreign advertising.
Sources within the BoG reveal that the Academic Board has accepted a working paper submitted by Dr. Akbar Zaidi concerning creating the institution's three new schools.
The board of directors of the IBA approved the creation of the faculty in 2008. The institute offered six programs and 1,700 registrations back then, while it now provides 18 programs and around 5,000 registrations. The organization also wants to set up schools to meet international requirements.

The BoG was also told that there are six departments in one of the two current faculties, while the other faculty has only two, which is an unfair academic structure.
