UK to assist in promotion of girls’ education, health and tourism
The British government has offered assistance to the provincial government for the promotion of girls’ education, health and tourism. The offer was extended by the British High Commissioner Christian Turner on Thursday during a meeting with Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Chief Minister Mahmood Khan in Peshawar.
The assistance will focus on capacity building of the provincial government, the high commissioner said. CM Mahmood said that his government was taking pragmatic steps for speedy development and prosperity of merged districts and it would welcome assistance from development partners for the uplift of these districts.

The chief minister said that the tourism sector in the province has huge investment potential. Turner was in Peshawar for a one-day official tour to see how aid from the UK has been spent in the province to transform lives.
