Students tested positive for COVID-19
A number of students at the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) have tested positive of COVID-19 as university resumed activities reportedly without following SOPs.
According to reports, four of the students at the Lahore campus have tested positive for COVID-19 while seven students at the Narowal campus developed symptoms for coronavirus and were quarantined until the test results arrive.

Meanwhile, UET commenced on-campus semester exams on Monday without any SOPs followed even though the Coronavirus cases were reported recently on campus hostel.
The Students have voiced concern over the situation and have asked to call-off on-campus semester exams on urgent basis. Students have also asked the UET’s administration to conduct semester exams online via different applications that are used by other universities to conduct exams.

The recent Coronavirus at the UET has also raised grave questions on the decision of the government to reopen all educational institutions across the country from 15 September.
