Shafqat Mehmood to finalise exam schedule, reopening of schools today
A meeting for the Inter-Provincial Education Ministers Conference (IPEMC) with Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mehmood in the chair to finalize the exam schedule for schools and discuss other important matters is underway.

All provincial education ministers, including the Azad Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan ministers, are present at the IPEMC, which in charge of framing policies related to the education sector.
The meeting will evaluate the latest COVID-19 situation in the country and resolve the confusion and concerns about the reopening of educational institutes, exam schedule,s and summer vacations.

The federal government has permitted educational institutes to recommence in-person learning from May 24 (today) in districts where the COVID-19 positivity ratio is less than 5%.
The federal ministry has also sent the directives for the vaccination plan for teachers which will also be discussed in the meeting.
