SHC orders 25,000 monthly allowance for PhD holders
The Sindh High Court (SHC) announced on Friday that all Ph.D. degree holders will be given a monthly allowance of Rs25,000, said the reports.

The decision came by the high court after a petition was filed by Dr. Liaquat Abro.
The court has sent directives to the Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah to forward the summary within 15 days’ time for a grant of 25,000 monthly allowances to all government employees holding a Ph.D. degree.

The petitioner had filed a complaint about disparities in Ph.D. allowances saying some Ph.D. holders are being given an Rs25,000 monthly allowance while the others Rs10,000.
