Punjab Govt to hire almost 12,000 people in the education sector
Punjab's Education Ministry has agreed to hire 11,765 Class-IV staff across the province's educational institutions. The initiative is part of the province government's endeavour to handle official matters more effectively.
In this regard, the Education Department has directed all district Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) to begin the recruiting process in accordance with the Punjab Contract Policy 2004.

According to a survey released in November of last year, there were over 100,000 vacant teaching vacancies in over 50,000 public educational institutions.
To help alleviate the shortage, the Punjab government has stated that it would hire 13,500 teachers on a daily rate for a one-year contract.
