JI's sit-in attracts students, teachers, and labour leaders

On Thursday, a significant number of students and teachers from throughout the city joined the Jamaat-e-Islami in protesting the recently approved controversial local government bill outside the Sindh Assembly.

Representatives from several labour unions, the legal profession, and other groups joined the sit-in, which is now on its 7th day. Delegations from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, and Sindh's interior regions also attended the demonstration.

In his address to the audience, JI Karachi chief Hafiz Naeemur Rehman stated that students are the nation's future. "The Sindh administration has wrecked all departments in the province, including education and health."

According to Rehman, the provincial government's corrupt actions forced the populace to seek private education while facing enormous financial obligations. He stated that the JI would continue to fight the Sindh government, and that JI central chairman Sirajul Haq would declare the next steps today (Friday).

"PPP ministers criticise the JI of following in the footsteps of the MQM, but they should know that the JI has built the city rather than devastated it by stealing its resources and destroying its infrastructure."
