HED to hire 10,000 teachers for public colleges

The Higher Education Department has agreed to hire 10,000 teachers for public sector colleges in Punjab due to a severe lack of teaching staff at government colleges. The higher education department has prepared a review in this regard. After the approval of the Chief Minister, the hiring process will begin.

According to the reports, there is a massive shortage of teachers in Punjab colleges. Because of this, the continuity of academic activities has become difficult. After the departure of the temporary faculty members, thousands of teaching positions remained empty. It is also important to note here that the process of recruitment starts after 12 years.

After covid-19 HED agreed to hire 10,000 staff in the colleges, the report is submitted to the Chief Minister. As soon as it is approved, the ad will be published. Over the summer holidays, newly appointed teachers will join their educational institutions.
