Primary classes resume under strict Covid-19 SOPs
In the third phase of reopening educational institutions across the country, primary classes have resumed under strict Covid-19 standard operating procedures (SOPs).
The decision was unanimously taken during a meeting of the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC).
Addressing the media, Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mehmood said the decision has been taken in consultation with all the federating units.

15 students among 48 more people test positive for Covid-19 in G-B
At least 48 more people including 15 students from different educational institutes tested positive for Covid-19 during the past 24 hours in Gilgit-Baltistan, taking the tally to 3,778.
Health officials confirmed no fresh casualty due to the virus on Tuesday as death toll stood at 88 in the region.

As many as 3,311 patients have recovered from the contagion so far, they added.
Change of plan: Primary schools reopen in Balochistan today
Balochistan government spokesperson Liaquat Shahwani has announced the reopening of all government-run primary schools across the province from Wednesday (Sept 30).
All schools would reopen from tomorrow (Wednesday), Shahwani said in a statement released to the press, Quetta Voice reported.

The statement comes a day after Shahwani’s earlier announcement that the primary schools in Balochistan would remain closed for another 15 day amidst the rise of coronavirus cases in educational institutes.
