KP closes educational institutes amid spike in COVID-19 cases
The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa announced the closure of all the educational institutions in eight districts due to an uptick in the coronavirus positive cases.
According to the reports, the educational institutions in Peshawar, Swabi, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Malakand, Swat, Haripur, and D.I.Khan are ordered to remain closed from September 4 till 11.

Taking to Twitter last week, the provincial Minister for Elementary and Secondary Education, Shahram Khan Tarakai, announced the decision:
“With the persisting situation of covid-19 across the country, NCOC decided to close schools in areas where covid is on a consistent rise.”

Earlier last week, the Government of Punjab had also announced closure of schools in 15 districts across the province for a week due to surge in coronavirus cases.
Meawhile, Islamabad District Administration also announced the closure of all the government and private educational institutions in the city from 6 to 11 September.
