Discussing the new policy with the media persons, Dr. Khadim Hussain, local educationist said,

It's like we are moving back to the days of radicalization and extremism, where, against their own will, adult university students are being put into abayas. For many of the province's youth, education is already unreachable, and instead of making it accessible, the government focuses on such policies and recommends that universities increase fees. These initiatives further hinder persons from pursuing college and raise the financial pressure on students and parents.

He sighed that none of this strengthens the case for women's schooling but instead creates more negativity in parents' minds.

The Advisor to CM on Higher Education, Kamran Bangash, disagreed with the public remarks underlined on the other side. He endorsed the policy's motive to "impose practices to eliminate distinctions between rich and poor."

As per government reports, as a result, the current dress code would supposedly help students concentrate on their studies "as opposed to fashion and reduce their parents' financial burden."

The new policy is expected to follow by all students and teachers, and strict actions will be taken against those who violate it.
