Govt to create mountaineering school to honor Ali Sadpara
Gilgit Baltistan's Chief Minister, Khalid Khurshid, has announced that in the village of the legendary mountaineer, Ali Sadpara, a school for training mountaineers will be established.
In an interview, the chief minister addressed the new initiative, adding that the government plans to facilitate the family of Ali Sadpara during this challenging moment in their lives.
During a brilliant career as a mountaineer, Ali Sadpara was known for climbing 8 of the country's 14 high-rise mountains.
His achievements have been registered and recognized by international organizations because many foreign expeditions have come and gone on to scale the peaks in Pakistan over the past decade or so.
