The Institute of Business Administration, Karachi has eliminated the need for entrance tests for their MBA admissions 2020 in response to the prevailing COVID-19 situation.

The institute has introduced an alternative for the entrance test which will be used for the assessment of applications of the candidates. The criteria for new admissions include selecting candidates on the basis of their previous academic record, work experience, certifications and Internships, extra-curricular activities, and also a personal statement by the candidate. Students will be shortlisted on the basis of the above criteria for the final interview.

The Institute authorities have said that these measures have been taken by the institute in order to prevent the spread of novel coronavirus and to follow the instructions given by the government.

Dr. S. Akbar Zaidi, Executive Director IBA while announcing the new criteria for admission said that we do not want to put the lives of our prospective students in danger. The aptitude test can turn out to be a great risk in the present circumstances, he added.
