Govt to take a final decision on reopening of educational institutes today

The Inter-Provincial meeting chaired by Education Minister Shafqat Mehmood today will announce a final decision to reopen educational institutes on September 15.

The final decision would be announced after considering the briefing given by the Ministry of Health regarding the COVID-19 situation in the country. The Chairman and Executive Director, Higher Education Commission, will also be present in a meeting.

Furthermore, implementing a shortened academic syllabus for the 2021 academic year and establishing harassment bodies on the provincial level will also be discussed in a meeting.

The education minister had announced in August that depending on the Coronavirus situation; the government would reopen institutes on September 15.
