Saturday may be an official working day for educational institutes
The Federal Directorate of Education on Friday released a document with the direction for the resumption of normalcy in the education sector with the plan to make Saturday as a working day for all educational institutions in ICT for remedial classes.

"There shall be remedial classes in the winter vacations (except public holidays) in current academic session (2020-2021) with Saturdays may be used as working days," the document states.
The document includes the directions for the Heads of institutions where they are advised to plan and design strategies for optimal academic management and ensure students' learning losses are minimized after the institutes are reopened on September 15, subject to IPEMC decision today.

The document also stated that the session would be reduced to two terms only, and a quick revision of the previous academic year's content be implemented as a foundation skill.
Moreover, the document also stated the directives related to grading, "Every head of the institution shall devise an institution-specific and grade-specific customized framework of action in line with guidelines issued inclusive of reduced syllabi from concerned office."

The final decision to reopen educational institutes will be announced today, September 7.
