Educational activities resume in 8 KP districts today
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has resumed educational activities on Thursday after a 10-day break in a wake of uptick in coronavirus cases in the provincial capital.
However, the schools, colleges and universities would have to follow the standard operation procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines which have already been announced by the government.

Taking into account the National Command and Operation Center’s (NCOC) recommendations, the provincial government had announced to close the educational institutions in eight districts of the province that remained in effect from September 6 to 11. A four day extension was announced later as per which schools were to reopen on September 16.
The districts included Peshawar, Swabi, Malakand, Swat, Haripur, Abbottabad, Mansehra, and Dera Ismail Khan. It is obligatory for the educational institutes to ensure only 50 per cent attendance of the students on one day. Moreover, the school timings have been reduced to four hours.
Following all SOPs, including wearing masks, using hand sanitisers, maintaining social distance and vaccinations by teachers and other staff are mandatory.
