UET plans to wrap-up the semester online
The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore began an online semester for the students of the session year 2017 to 2019 after it successfully conducted online classes for the final year students.

According to the reports, the semester will begin from July 15, whereas, the final year students who have been attending the semester remotely, will be giving the examination following the set of rules by Higher Education Commission and Pakistan Engineering Council. The controller examination will announce the results for the final year exams on July 10. According to university management, the initiative of an online semester is taken to ensure students' safety. The authorities also said that the final batch would be available to serve in the professional world by the end of July. However, all other students will be able to complete their semester remotely by the end of August.

The UET online classes will be conducted on ZOOM and MS Teams software. Another plan has also been made to manage the attendance of the students according to which students will be required to maintain 85 percent attendance to complete the semester. However, issues related to internet connections, load shedding, and slow internet speed will be discussed on various forums that will provide students flexibility during online classes, said the report.
