‘Teachers attend the school or face the charges,’ Punjab district officers

The District Education Officers from Punjab have announced that the annual examinations for Kindergarten till grade 8 will be commenced in mid of March 2021. The meeting also stated that teachers and non-teaching staff would continue to attend school even during school closure. Any staff that does not abide by the instructions will have to face the charges.

The authorities decided in a conference presided by education minister Punjab Murad Raas, where education officers from 36 districts in Punjab were present and agreed on the date for final exams. The schedule for the final examination will be announced by the beginning of January 2021. According to reports, the announcement of the results for Kindergarten till 8th classes will be notified by March 31.

The conference also discussed the closure of schools and advised strict implementation of Standard operating procedures (SOPs) to curb coronavirus spread.
