PMC issues an important announcement for foreign medical graduates
The Pakistan Medical Commission issued a significant announcement for foreign medical grads after a delegation met with the body's Vice-President for Recognition of Foreign Medical and Dental Colleges.
The statement released by the PMC said, "It was confirmed to them that the commission is actively working on solving these issues, and completing recognition of foreign medical and dental colleges,"

The Recognition depends on each international college's host country responding with the appropriate details, which is in progress, the PMC said.
The following was confirmed to the delegation:
- The PMC will finalize the recognition process of a foreign college within ten days of receipt of authentication documents from the country's appropriate government.
- As soon as the PMC verifies and accepts a foreign college, the respective college graduates will be processed as per the licensing pathway regulations.
- The Council will find some potential alternate options for students who have already graduated from blacklisted colleges or are not approved by the Commission. At the earliest, a definitive decision will be disclosed.
