Summer break for Sindh has officially been announced

The summer break schedule for all public/private schools and institutions in Sindh has been announced by the Sindh Education Department.

Summer holidays in Sindh's educational institutes will begin on June 1st, Wednesday and end on July 31st, Sunday, according to the official notification.

On Monday, August 1st, all public and private schools and universities in the province will resume their academic activities.

All private schools and colleges in the province have been ordered to follow the official summer vacation schedule by the Education Department. Otherwise, they will face severe legal consequences.

This is in order to keep uniformity across the province and also overcome the affect of the severe heatwave that has taken over the country.

The announcement followed after repeated pleas from parents who have been requesting the Sindh Education Department to announce summer vacations in schools due to the excessive heat.

The parents expressed concern for their children’s health, claiming that it is incredibly difficult to keep youngsters properly hydrated during school hours, as recommended by doctors.
