Mahmood Khan further instructed the TEVTA members to promote educational and industrial relations between institutes and industry partners to create a skilled workforce. This would help local industrial sectors to create some of the highest employment opportunities for local players, as per the CM's argument.
The TEVTA Board of Directors also briefed the meeting on prior decisions and green-lit projects. The BoD highlighted that TEVTA had been given a budget of Rs. 4.8 billion for the current 2021-2022 financial year.
The meeting attendees also approved the official handover to KP-TEVTA of technical institutes, formerly under the Technical and Vocational Training System (STVET).
Senior TEVTA officials also agreed to continue the contract period of the staff hired by STVET before the meeting was held on a contract basis. TEVTA officials decided to ensure that the Associate Institutions' training activities continue without any inconvenience. It is essential to mention here that the agreements for five training facilities operated under STVET have expired, and these institutes are now working under TEVTA.
