Punjab HED to recruit 300 interns to overcome the shortfall of teachers

Lahore: The Punjab education department has agreed to fill the teacher void by recruiting 300 interns throughout the province.

The statement said that about 300 College Teaching Interns (CTIs) would be employed by the Higher Education Department (HED) to overcome the shortage of teaching employees at government sector colleges.

The CTIs will be employed for four months during the next fiscal year. There is no age limit to apply, while a monthly stipend of Rs 45,000 will be given to those recruits.

The list of vacancies in college positions (male and female) will be posted on the Notice Board of the respective colleges tomorrow (Wednesday), while eligible candidates could submit applications from 14th to 15th January.

On 17th January, the college will display tentative merit lists, while the final merit list would be displayed on 20th January.

The interviews will occur between 21st and 23rd January, while the list of eligible candidates will be announced on 25th January by the varsity.

Finally, the grievance resolution process would be completed from 28th to 29th January, when the colleges would place final merit lists on 1st February. The minimum requirement to apply for these contractual teaching positions is MA/MSc (2nd Division).
