The Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood said that schools will reopen soon adding that the situation of covid-19 is under control and he is greatly concerned about the education of students.
Stating from his Twitter account, the minister said that the government took the ‘right decision’ concerning the closure of schools earlier when the coronavirus cases were on rising.

Earlier, the minister had announced the closure of educational institutions from November 26 till January 11 to curb the spread and rising number of coronavirus cases in the country. However, he stated, the decision was taken “with a heavy heart.”
“I request all students to use this time, not as a holiday but to revise their courses, do homework,” he said in a tweet. "In short, continue with studies as much as possible."

Last month, after reviewing the coronavirus situation, the minister had announced to shift the schools online and all students were required to study at home from November 26 till December 24. Whereas the winter vacation for students will start from December 25, 2020, to January 10, 2021.
According to reports, all educational institutes in the country will resume their on-campus academic activities from January 11, 2021, after the situation of Covid-19 is reevaluated.
