Educational institutes reopen after two months
After a long break of two months due to coronavirus and winter vacation, students from grade 9 t0 12 returned to school all over the country today (Monday).
The federal government directed the school administrations to follow strict Standard operating procedures in the schools. The schools would reopen for grade 8 and below from February 1, as announced by the federal education minister in a meeting last week.

The announcement for the reopening of schools came after a high-level meeting where the federal ministry, health department, and National Command and Operation Authority (NCOC) agreed on the phase-wise reopening of educational institutes countrywide.
On Sunday, the Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood wished students of grade 9 to 12 and O and A- level luck via his social media Twitter account and O and A-Level students, who would start going to school today as per the first phase of reopening of schools.
"Tomorrow classes 9 to 12, O and A level go back to school/ college. Wish them the very best," the minister stated.

On Friday, January 16, the minister had held a high-level review meeting at the NCOC to announce the decision on reopening educational institutions amid the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic.
The meeting had decided that classes will start for students of grades nine to 12 from January 18 as per the earlier decision.
