HEC Chinese Government CSC Scholarship 2023

The HEC Chinese Government CSC Scholarship covers the following topics: 

• Tuition fee in full

• Housing/accommodation

• Undergraduate students receive a monthly stipend of CNY 2,500

• Students studying for a master's degree/general scholars receive CNY 3,000 per month

• In the case of doctoral students/senior scholars, the monthly payment is CNY 3,500

• Travel expenses

HEC Chinese Government CSC Scholarships eligibility criteria

• Pakistani / AJK National

• A bachelor's degree requires four years of education (FA/Fsc or equivalent A-level) under the age of 25

• Applicants for Master's programs must be under 35 years of age and hold a bachelor's degree.

• A master's degree holder under the age of 40 is eligible for Ph.D. programs

Required Documents:

• Transcripts and degrees

• Letters of recommendation

• IELTS or HSK certificates

• A physical examination

• Research proposal / study plan / motivation letter

• Passport

• Picture

• Clearance certificate issued by the police

The following documents are not mandatory but are a plus:

• Shortlisted candidates will be contacted via email after submitting their online applications to submit two sets of attested documents stapled in spiral binding separately with their HEC online application form.

• A copy of the CNIC of the applicant and his/her father/guardian

• Domicile certificate for the applicant

• Form submitted online by HEC

• The HEC and IBCC attest all educational degrees and transcripts from matriculation to last terminal degree.

• Chinese online application form

• Language qualification certificate. e.g., HSK certificates, IELTS or TOFEL report (Not mandatory)

• A photocopy of valid passport information page.

• Two recommendation letters in original. (for Masters & Ph.D. only)

• Passport-sized photographs taken recently.

• The statement of purpose of the applicant should be submitted in two copies

• The Chinese quarantine authority offers health/fitness certificates for download here. All items on the Foreigner Physical Examination Form must be covered in the physical examination. A record that is incomplete or does not contain the signature of the attending physician, the official stamp of the hospital, or a sealed photograph of the applicant is invalid. The results of a physical examination are only valid for 6 months

• A non-criminal record from the police department.

• In the case of employment, a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the applicant's employer will be required from shortlisted candidates.

• Documents not in English must be accompanied by certified English translations (i.e. certificates, testimonials, transcripts).

• Hard Copies of the applications are not required at this stage. By-hand or incomplete applications shall NOT be entertained in any case. 

Application Procedure for HEC CSC Scholarships 2023:

• No manual or incomplete applications will be accepted through the e-portal. Applicants must apply online through the HEC portal and at Chinese universities.

• HEC will shortlist eligible applicants on the basis of merit & the number of scholarship slots allocated for Pakistani students. 

• HEC reserves the right to cancel and debar from all future scholarships as well as impose a penalty if false information is provided at any stage.

• Only apply online before the deadline of December 15, 2022, DO NOT send hard copies of application forms or any other documents to HEC at this stage of the application process.

• All students applying for a professional degree (viz. Medical, Engineering, Agriculture, etc.) must first obtain its accreditation from the respective governing bodies, i.e. Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC), Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC), Agriculture Council, and Nursing Council.

• Hard Copies of the applications are not required at this stage. By-hand or incomplete applications shall NOT be entertained in any case.​

  Please read the following critical information

  HEC will forward nominations from Pakistan after shortlisting potential candidates on merit through a test or interview or both. HEC's decision is final and binding. Online applications must be submitted by 15 December 2022 on the HEC portal.
