World Bank includes Pakistan in its Accelerator Country Program
ISLAMABAD, Shafqat Mahmood, the Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training, praised the World Bank for picking Pakistan for its Accelerator Country Program on Wednesday. “We are glad to be a member of the Accelerator Country Program so that Pakistan may serve as a role model for other countries,” he said during a meeting with a World Bank delegation.
The status of ongoing initiatives between the Ministry of Education and the World Bank was also thoroughly examined. Shafqat Mahmood also expressed gratitude to the World Bank for their extensive educational partnership.
Despite the 18th Amendment, he noted, the Federal Ministry of Education performed a leading role for all provinces during the Covid-19 outbreak, creating strong linkages between them.

The World Bank delegation praised the Federal Ministry of Education for taking prompt action during the Covid-19 epidemic, as well as Federal Minister Shafqat Mahmood's efforts to ensure good collaboration with the provinces.
During the discussion, the two parties reaffirmed their resolve to continue cooperating in the education sector and to broaden the scope of cooperation.
