UHS Starts MBBS and BDS Admissions in Government Medical and Dental Institutions of Punjab

 

Admissions to Punjab's government medical and dental colleges have begun for the academic year 2021-2022, according to the University of Health Sciences. Candidates must complete and submit the online application form according to the university's requirements. The candidates' online entrance portal has been open since November 12th, 2021. Candidates who wish to apply for admission to the MBBS and BDS degree programmes must adhere to the UHS admission schedule. The deadline to apply for BDS/MBBS admissions is November 22, 2021. 

UHS Eligibility Criteria

Following is the eligibility criteria announced by UHS that must be fulfilled by the candidates in order to get admission.

  • The candidates should have passed the HSSC or F.Sc. (Pre-Medical) or equivalent study program with at least 65 (715/1100) percent marks are eligible to apply for MBBS and BDS admissions.
  • The applicants having domicile of any district of Punjab can take admission in MBBS and BDS. It is mandatory for the candidates to score at least 65% (137/210) marks in the National MDCAT 2021. 
  • The candidates applying for the quota seats have to meet the additional requirements mentioned by the university.

Merit Criteria

The merit criteria for BDS and MBBS admissions are calculated on the basis of marks in matric, intermediate, and MDCAT.

  • SSC/Matriculation/Equivalent study program: 10%
  • HSSC/F.Sc. Pre-Medical/ Equivalent study program: 40%
  • National MDCAT:50%
