Students threaten to protest against HEC
The students of Punjab University threatened that if their demands are not fulfilled, the students from across the country will protest against HEC.
While addressing their grievances against HEC at Press Club Islamabad, the students said that HEC should not forget that once the students come out to protest, they will be out of control. “If the demands aren’t fulfilled, and students take to the streets, then no one will be responsible for what comes next except the government and chairman HEC,” said one of the students’ representative while talking to media.

He said that we had kept the peace and cooperated until now, but this cannot be tolerated anymore. “We will not wait any more, 12th June is the deadline and an ultimatum for HEC, after which the future of Pakistan will take to the streets and will impossible for us to stop them”, the student representative said.
Students further said that they would boycott the fees as there is no point in paying the fees for the failed online classes.
“The government has imposed section 144 in the whole country against protest but isn’t the same government involved in violating section 144 in the past”, the student body asked while giving a brief to media.

The students have been protesting the failed online classes and demand that the fee should be waived off. Some students have also demanded that there should be “no exams” for university students for the current semester, and they should be promoted to next semester without an exam.
Last week, the chairman HEC had announced that there is no question of promotion without examinations for university students.
