Single national curriculum need of the hour says Shafqat Mahmood
ISLAMABAD: Shafqat Mehmood, the Federal Minister of Education, said on Sunday that a single national curriculum (SNC) was urgently needed to eliminate the country's hierarchical education system.
"A uniform education curriculum system, as envisioned by Prime Minister Imran Khan, would assist to reduce class divide in Pakistan and create a fair playing field for everybody," he stated on the ptv news channel.
He went on to say that the best way to achieve speedy development was to promote SNC education.
He stated that for the efficient implementation of SNC, no compromises would be made, and that SNC would promote the ideals of tolerance, peace, and unity by removing racial, hierarchical, and religious divisions among new generations.

In response to a question, he stated that education has always been one of the top priorities of the current government, and that SNC will unite 220 million people into a strong nation, adding that SNC education is the only way to deal with the country's challenges such as poverty, unemployment, and ignorance.
He pledged that all available resources would be used to provide education to the nation's builders, and that there would be no scarcity of these resources.
