The meeting discussed several recommendations by the health department to control the rapid spread of COVID-19 in the province as the schools continue to defy government’s proposed standard operating procedures.
The meeting stated that if violations of the SOPs continue, then the provincial government will have to seal the marriage halls, restaurants and cattle markets. The chief secretary suggested that the smart lockdown should be imposed in the areas where the ratio of coronavirus spread is high.
Shah also issued orders for all commissioners and deputy commissioners to complete the vaccination target in the province.
