Sindh adopts bill making Quran teaching mandatory in schools
Sindh Assembly has passed a bill to declare it mandatory for all schools to teach “Nazra Quran” from grade 1 till 10 on Thursday.

According to reports, Syed Abdul Rasheed said that including Islamic education in the curriculum is the need of time. He said that in the times when the west is trying to dismantle our ideologies, such steps need to be taken on a priority basis. “legal action must be taken against schools that have not included teachings of the Quran in their curriculum,” he added.

He also appealed to parents to abstain from sending their children to schools that are not imparting Islamic education alongside contemporary education.
