Shahid Afridi, the former captain of the Pakistan cricket team, launched a library in Tank district on Sunday.

The library has been abandoned for 15 years, according to Deputy Commissioner Tank Muhammad Kabir Afridi. He claimed that the library building had recently been rebuilt, and that he had written letters to the National Book Foundation and the Department of Higher Education requesting more books.

He also stated that computers would be donated to the library to assist in the quest for knowledge by the kids.

Shahid Afridi, spoke after the library's opening, said that education is essential for a nation's prosperity and that it is a fundamental right of every child.

However, he expressed regret that millions of children were unable to receive an education.

The goal of the library repair, according to Shahid Afridi, was to make it easier for children to receive an education. He went on to say that computers would be available as well.
