School in Karachi’s Liaquatabad area sealed due to violation of Covid SOPs

The city district administration took action against violators of the standard operating procedures (SOPs) on Wednesday as a result of the increase in Covid-19 cases.

According to District Central deputy commissioner Taha Saleem, a school in Moosa Colony was closed by the assistant commissioner of the Liaquatabad subdivision due to a violation of SOPs.
The district government has also been focusing on getting as many people vaccinated on Wednesday.

The Golimar region was also investigated by the District Central Administration, who enforced the SOPs in a market where masks were handed to traders and customers. In the Nazimabad area, vaccination drives were held in schools, the Imtiaz Supermarket, Hadi Market, and the Golimar sanitary market. The District South and District Keemari administrations also implemented the SOPs in various public transportations, and vaccination cards were examined in many marketplaces and shopping centers.

Another vaccination drive was held at Sector 5C-2 of North Karachi's union committee 3 Bara Market and Mobile Market. According to the Commissioner's Office, a fuel station in District South was closed due to SOP violations. In addition, two vehicles were detained in Saddar's Shalimar bus terminal for violating Covid-19 SOPs.

Furthermore, Karachi commissioner Muhammad Iqbal Memon convened a meeting in his office to confirm plans for the Pakistan Super League, which will kick off on January 27 at the National Stadium. The conference went through the security, traffic, parking, and shuttle services that will be offered from the Hakeem Saeed Ground on University Road and other regions, as well as the power supply, street lighting, and cleanliness arrangements.
