Institutes in Islamabad sealed due to covid-19 cases

After an order from the Ministry of National Health Services Regulation and Coordination, two colleges and three Islamabad schools are sealed with immediate effect. There were 2 positive cases of Covid-19 at each institute.

The buildings are currently sealed, and disinfection is underway. It has also ordered the testing of all the students and staff at the institute. For an unspecified time, the institutions would stay closed.

It has also been recommended that students and staff of the institute undergo 14-day quarantine.

During random testing at the institutes, the virus was detected, the District Health Office gathered the details of the positive patients, and they started to gain detailed information regarding any other exposed staff or students.

In various parts of the capital, the number of Covid-19 patients has been slowly increasing. Cases increased from 73 to 113 from Thursday to Friday. These were the highest number of cases on a single day since the 15th of July.
