All Punjab Education Boards have announced a release date for the matric and intermediate results to be 16 October and agreed on the grace marks policy by the Punjab government.
According to reports, Chief Minister, Usman Buzdar and the cabinet unanimously approved the decision on giving grace marks for matriculation and intermediate results. During the decision announcement, the Chief Minister has also ordered the education boards to announce the results within 48 hours.
Last month, the decision on giving grace marks had been approved during the Inter-Provincial Educational Ministers Conference (IPEMC), however, required final ratification from the provincial government for execution.

It is pertinent to note that intermediate results were planned to be announced by 30 September and matric results by 16 October all across the province. As per reports, all BISEs had already prepared results and were waiting for the nod on the summary for granting flat 33 marks to failing students by the authorities.
After the approval was given on Wednesday, BISE Lahore, BISE Multan, BISE Gujranwala, BISE Bahawalpur, BISE DG Khan, BISE Faisalabad, BISE Rawalpindi, BISE Sargodha, BISE Board, and BISE Sahiwal have announced to release of SSC and HSSC Part-II results within 48 hours.

The development has occurred in order to give relief to over 1.4 million Grade 10 and 12 students that had registered with different education boards in Punjab during COVID-19 and had been awaiting the results.
