Punjab announces dates for matriculation and intermediate examinations
The Punjab Board Committee of Chairmen (PBCC) has announced the schedule for the Matriculation and Intermediate examinations.
According to reports, the final dates for the examination were decided in a meeting of the PBCC in Lahore on Tuesday according to which matriculation examinations will commence from 17 June across the province, and that the Class 9 examinations will start on 27 July.

While sending the directives to the respective boards, the meeting decided that the Intermediate Part 1 examinations will commence from 11 August, and that the Part 2 examinations begin on 2 July this year. Whereas, the matriculation examinations results will be announced on 30 August, and the results of the Second Year examinations will be declared on 14 September.
Likewise, the Class 9 examination results will be declared on 29 October, and the First Year examination results will come out on 14 November.
Moreover, the meeting ruled out the commencement of practical examinations this.
Earlier today, the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) had decided to refer the matter of the reopening of the educational institutes to the Inter-Provincial Education Ministers Conference (IPEMC).

The decision was taken in an NCOC meeting held in Islamabad on Tuesday with Planning Minister Asad Umar in the chair. The health ministry officials briefed the participants of the meeting about the current situation of Covid-19 in the country.
