Opposition slams govt performance on education
LAHORE: The opposition lawmakers grilled the treasury benches over doing nothing for the education sector as well as running the fate of all departments across Pakistan.

The treasury held the past regimes responsible for the current crises while the opposition termed the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-led (PTI) government as inefficient, inexperienced that according to them pushed the country towards backwardness.
During the questions answer session, the PML-N lawmakers put questions on higher education claiming the government did nothing for the education. Each department has been destroyed owing to the government’s flawed policies.
On which Punjab Minister for Higher Education Raja Yasir Humayun responding the lawmaker’s queries made clear that it was the PTI government that took appropriate measures for the quality education, established schools, colleges and universities across the country otherwise no government in past had taken such steps.

On a point, Punjab Assembly Speaker Pervez Elahi directed the government to focus on the health and education sector on its priority adding there is a need to take concrete measures in this regard.
