NED Admissions: First-time Entries in Cyber Security, AI & Data Sciences
NED University of Karachi introduced three new departments, for the first time admissions in Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence and Data Sciences were held from July 30th.
Under The NED University of Engineering and Technology, 3 new engineering programs are being started from the new academic session 2023 and the new programs of "Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security and Data Sciences" have been formally included in the admission policy of the new academic session. 150 seats have been added to the total admission seats for these 3 programs.
It should be noted that based on the results of the first inter-year, the date of submission of admission forms for 32 departments in NED University had been changed to July 29th, while the entrance test, which will last for 6 days, started on the 30th of July. The second phase of testing has been decided, starting from the 21st of August.
Dr. Tufail Ahmed, Pro-Chancellor of NED University, told Express News that after the 3-day extension in the date of submission of admission forms, the university has received over 12,000 admission applications so far. The administration has decided to take the entrance test twice, following the pattern of other universities and to give those candidates who cannot appear in the first test or have failed another chance. The first phase entrance test will continue till August 4th, and the results of the test will be released on the last day of the test. Every day 3,000 or more candidates will participate in the test which will be conducted online in various labs of the university.
