Murad Raas responds to news of school closure from 25th October
The Minister of Education of Punjab, Murad Raas, replied to reporting the closure of public and private schools across the province from 25 October.
Raas shared a photo of a news channel reporting that after a rise in COVID-19 cases in the region, the provincial government issued a notice to close schools once again.

He also said that all schools would remain open as usual and criticize ‘fake media’ for creating confusion among the people.
Last week, when the rumor churned that the government had agreed to suspend educational activities in schools and colleges from October 15, similar rumors were circulated.

Raas also said that,
Schools were reopened gradually from September 15, following closure of six months due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The educational activities are proceeding under strict Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
The government has also initiated a random testing campaign among teachers and students. The prevalence rate in educational institutions so far is below 2 percent.
