MDCAT 2020: Results to be announced on Dec 16

The Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) has stated that the result for Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT 2020) will be announced on December 16.

The entry exam for MDCAT 2020 was held on November 29 while the special examination for the students contracted COVID-19 would be held on December 13. The notification issued by PMC has states that the results for both the exams, regular and special both, will be announced on December 16, 2020.

The Vice-President PMC Barrister Ali Raza had said that 125,000 applicants had registered for the MDCAT 2020 held on November 29 across Pakistan, out of which 138 students could not take the exam for being COVID-19 positive.

Earlier, the Sindh High Court had directed the Pakistan Medical Commission to announce the results for both the entrance tests together – the entry test held on November 29 and the special entry test for Corona affected patients.

The judgment had declared that since the PMC’s council had allowed a separate entry test for coronavirus infected candidates, therefore, the test could not be considered illegal or outré or beyond the powers of the PMC act.
