KP to issue ‘Education Cards’ for needy students
The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) is set to announce Education Cards scheme for the needy and talented students in the province to help them get equal and quality education from the institutions all across Pakistan.
The announcement was made by the Special Assistant to the Chief Minister (SACM) on Higher Education and Information, Kamran Bangash, at a Higher Education Department (HED) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Quality Assurance Awards and the Higher Education Commission (HEC) capacity building program in Peshawar on Sunday.

While addressing the awards ceremony, Bangash said that the plan for law colleges in seven divisions is underway. He assured that the government will provide more funds for the development of 30 to 40 model colleges selected from the main colleges of the province.
The SACM also announced that provincial ranking will be conducted for the universities and colleges in KP in consultation with the Quality Assurance team from next year onwards.
