Lahore: Serving Schools and Colleges Association President Mian Riza-ur-Rehman has said that the UNICEF report on the educational loss in Pakistan is enough to open the government's eyes and is a matter of great concern. In a statement, he said that according to UNICEF, 40 million children are affected by the closure of educational institutions while 88% of the students do not have access to the internet.

He added that in these circumstances, how students can continue their education at home. He stressed that it was in the government's national interest to keep the educational institutions open to avoid any loss of education. He said that the educational institutions are strictly following the Corona SOPs. Therefore, there should be no compromise on the future of the children. He demanded that the government reopen the schools and announce a special package to get the private sector out of the economic crisis.
