Intermediate results 2021: Number of Lahore students secure 100% marks
A large number of students have obtained 1,100 out of 1,100 marks in the Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore of the Intermediate Annual Examinations 2021 Results announced today (Friday).
According to reports, a number of cases where students have secured full marks have emerged from eight exam boards in Punjab.
In the wake of COVID-19 third wave, the exams held across the province under special circumstances and students had appeared in optional subjects only.

According to the policy, marks secured in optional subjects were used to give average marks in compulsory subjects with 5% additional marks. This led to maximum marks i.e. 1,100 out of 1,100 marks in a number of cases.
The reports have revealed that among the students who secured 1,100 out of 1,100 marks were two students from Danish Schools (roll numbers 531415 and 580695).
Under the recent promotion policy, students who had failed in the exam were given grace marks, which took the overall passing percentage to 98%. The remaining 2% were those who were absent from the exams.
The review of the exam released by the BISE Lahore shows that an overall 98.71% of students were declared successful in the exam.

The board further specified that there will be no position holders as the board had followed the promotion policy in the current year.
As per the break-up, in the Pre-Medical group, 15,589 candidates secured A+ grade, in Pre-Engineering 4,505, General Science 2,999, Commerce 422 and in the Humanities group 5,403 candidates secured A+ grade.
Overall 31,353 candidates got A+ grades, 23,737 candidates got A, 29,601 candidates got B while 35,067 candidates got Grade C, 39,219 candidates got Grade D while 24,347 candidates got the E grade.
