HEC brings Coursera to Pakistan
The global online education platform, Coursera announced through its official Facebook page that it has launched in Pakistan with access to online courses and degrees from top universities and companies in the world.
Coursera will be used across Pakistan under the project of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Digital Learning and Skills Enrichment Initiative Pakistan (DLSEI – II). The platforms aim to impart knowledge to students and teachers in Pakistan.

Earlier, Coursera had made available free versions of online courses and programs with upgraded features to Pakistani institutes.
This initiative by the HEC is to provide an e-learning platform to students and teachers offering hands-on learning and digital learning tools and customized and guided projects. The opportunity is being brought up to provide detailed curricula and effective learning opportunities to schools and universities in the country.
