Educational institute to reopen from Sep 16
The Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood announced that all educational institutions will reopen from September 16.
Taking to Twitter on Tuesday (Today), the minister said that he is happy to report the reopening of educational institutes from September 16.
A day before, the minister had announced to pass all the students of classes X and XII due to the prevailing coronavirus situation as the fourth wave of the pandemic continues with the number of active cases remaining at over 90,000.

The decision to pass the Matric and Intermediate students was taken during an Inter-Provincial Education Ministers Conference (IPEMC), chaired by Federal Minister Shafqat Mahmood. It was noted that because of the pandemic the re-examinations of the failing students were no longer possible in near future.
The final exams for the students were held between May and July. “The meeting decided that due to the coronavirus situation, immediate re-examinations will not be possible and the students who failed would be given a discounted 33 marks,” said an announcement.
