Education dept meet to discuss closure/removal of schools in cantonment areas
KARACHI: The Directorate of Education Sindh conducted a meeting.
Dr. Mansoob Hussain Siddiqui, Director General of Education, and Registrar Rafia Javed attended the meeting, as did a delegation from the Educational Services Association/All Private Schools & Colleges Association, led by General Secretary Zubair Ahmed, to talk the facts and circumstances surrounding the closure/removal of schools in cantonment areas.

The Directorate and Secretariat requested intervention in the matter and directed the concerned to assert the law in order to function educational institutions in residential areas or create educational zones in the relevant areas of the Cantonment Board of Pakistan, and to file a request with the Supreme Court for an extension of time to resolve the matter until then.
