Education department to abolish supplementary board exams
The Federal Education Board has decided on Tuesday to abolish supplementary examinations and introduce two regular examinations annually.

Earlier on December 1, the Board of governors in a meeting presided by Chairman Qaiser Alam discussed abolishing supplementary examinations and implementing two regular annual exams. According to the new recommendation, the students will be able to enrol for the exams as regular students. The Board has directed the officials to prepare a plan for implementing a new exam pattern by the year 2022.

The Board has also eliminated the need of school leaving certificate for the admission in the college. Simultaneously, the students will also be allowed to appear in the Matric and Intermediate exams twice in a year.
