Cambridge pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Kamal Munir honoured with the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz
Pakistan's Cambridge International paid homage to Professor Kamal Munir after his recent Tamgha-e-Imtiaz accolade from the government. He received the prestigious award for his contributions and efforts in education. Cambridge International held an iftar event for the Vice Chancellor to commemorate this recognition.
The Governor of Punjab, Baligh-ur-Rehman, attended the celebration and congratulated Professor Munir on his achievements.
In his speech, the governor stressed the importance of education for unlocking opportunities. Prof Munir's exemplary work and excellence were also praised, noting how he is the first South Asian to be pro-chancellor of the University of Cambridge in almost a century.
Shafqat Mehmood, the former Federal Minister for Education, Raja Yasir Humayun, and Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, the former Minister of Higher Education in Punjab, attended the event.
As a representative of Pakistan abroad, Kamal Munir expressed gratitude for the opportunity.
